Sea to Shining Sea

Two skateboard geeks, director Maximón Monihan and a friend of his from the Netherlands, set off on a journey from the East to the West coast of the US, moving through archetypical American landscapes – rich or poor, deserted or heavily populated, luminous or dark – on a “hippie” sports car, as they call it. One of them (the guide) is a white, well-bred New Yorker, while the other (the guest) denounces Europe’s colonial past through his skin color. Do they see the same things on their way?
