Jorge Loring Martínez, an enterpreneur from Málaga and a pioneer in Spanish aviation, promoted together with the scientist Emilio Herrera from Granada and the German manufacturers of the Graf Zeppelín the creation of an aerial line of transportation by dirigibles the Colon Transaerea for passengers as well as cargo between Seville and Buenos Aires. Jorge Loring was well known for a series of innovations he introduced in the incipient aeronautical era.
