Para toda la vida (TV Series) (1996) follows the life of Fernando Valdemoros, who for the past decade and a half has been conducting an annual memorial service for his supposedly deceased wife, Elena. Elena, the mother of their three children—Enrique, Estela, and Eduardo—is revealed to be alive and imprisoned in Chile, wrongfully convicted of a crime she did not commit. Fernando's deception was orchestrated to shield his family and business from scandal. During a journey to South America, Elena was discovered with a gun near the body of a fellow traveler, leading Fernando to believe she was guilty and to fabricate her death. As Fernando prepares to remarry, Elena is released from prison and returns to Mexico seeking justice. Despite the challenges, destiny presents Elena and Fernando with an opportunity to rebuild their lives, provided they can find it within themselves to forgive and move forward.
