Captain from Castile

Tyrone Power plays Pedro De Vargas, a sixteenth century Spanish nobleman forced to flee Spain after he kills the man who murdered his sister. He goes to the New World, where he joins Hernando Cortes' expedition to Mexico, and becomes one of Cortes' most trusted aides. A full-blown Technicolor spectacular from 1947 that still holds up pretty well, the story focuses on the conquest of Mexico.
