On the day of graduation in the institute, Itsuki's cousin, Mahiru, tells her that she is pregnant. At that moment a portal opens and transports them to the world of Granvania, where beings called "Impurities" have been causing havoc in this world. Itsuki discovers to be the last hope of "Granvania", in charge of producing "Star Children" to fight against the "Impurities". Until her assignment is over, Itsuki will not be able to return to her world.
