When an Oregon woman vanishes, all that's left behind is a black rose and a cryptic note. Turns out these clues mirror those from the unsolved murders of a long-ago New York serial killer. Betsy Tannenbaum, the accused killer's attorney, is on the case, but she has no idea she's about to enter a web of duplicity, revenge and multiple murders in order to find the truth.
