Grotesken im Schnee (S)

It's a cooperation by Lotte Reiniger and her friend Alex Strasser, a keen amateur film maker. They combined Strasser's "footage" of an alpine holiday with Lotte Reiniger's silhouettes to create something of an "avant-garde" experiment. This comes from the vaults of the BAFA (Bundesfilmarchiv). Silhouettes and "real" film are either actually combined or simply juxtaposed, with the 16mm film (it seems) either slowed down or sped up.
