Custody (1984) follows the journey of a young woman who, on her wedding day, is taken into custody by the police for embezzlement and subsequently given a life sentence. Already pregnant at the time of her arrest, she gives birth to her child while incarcerated. Tragically, the infant is taken away from her shortly after birth. Years later, Klara discovers that her child suffered a spinal injury while in an orphanage. After serving 12 years, her sentence is reduced, and she is finally released on parole.
