La llamada del sexo (1977) follows Carlos, the director of an advertising agency in Santo Domingo, who is involved in an extramarital affair with Monica, a model he encountered during a toothpaste commercial casting. Their relationship remains stable until Carlos takes Monica to an abandoned house on the city's outskirts, where he spent his childhood and adolescence. Monica notices disturbing drawings of masked figures on the walls, which Carlos attributes to his parents' frequent masked parties that often turned into wild orgies. Meanwhile, Carlos' wealthy and ambitious wife, Gloria, grows suspicious and hires a private investigator. She catches Carlos and Monica in the act, leading to a heated argument about divorce. In a tragic turn, Gloria accidentally falls down the stairs, and Carlos, believing her dead, hides her body in a trunk at the abandoned house. As he flees, he accidentally hits a child, setting off a chain of bizarre and fateful events foretold by his friend, the parapsychologist Víctor, leading to an unexpected conclusion.
