Alex, a tourist guide by profession, is given the task of welcoming a young Russian woman, Sacha, who has won a week's holiday in Geneva. But from the moment she arrives, Sacha puts a wrench in Alex's plans, luring him into a rash and dangerous treasure hunt which takes them all the way to the borders of eastern Switzerland. Sought by both the police and the mafia, Alex and Sacha decide to shake off their pursuers by traveling at a slower pace, and take to the lakes and other circuitous routes. As the couple gradually disappear into an increasingly foreign Switzerland, they begin to observe, discover, seduce, oppose, and finally love each other, until they vanish completely.
