Kinuyo (Kinuyo Tanaka) and Yasuo (Shin Saburi) lives in the neibourhood. Both are doctor but their parents are feud since their ancestor, whereas they both have interests to the other. When Kinuyo falls in love to Yasuo but cannot tell it to him, she becomes ill. Then her father (Takeshi Sakamoto) tries to be reconciled, but the situation becomes more complicated.
